Creator safety

Stay safe. Work smart.

A decent agency makes the business easier. A bad one takes your account, your money, and your calm. Check the basics before anyone gets access.

Red flags

  • They ask for money before showing a contract or plan.
  • They want your account password before a call, audit, or written scope.
  • They promise fixed income without reviewing traffic, chat, content, and pricing.
  • They pressure you to decide today.
  • They refuse to say who owns content, data, or fan relationships after exit.
  • They hide chatter rules, approval rules, and reporting cadence.
  • They ask for private files that are not needed for the first review.

Green flags

  • They start with public links and a fit check.
  • They document boundaries, voice, access, and approvals.
  • They explain fees, payout timing, and exit terms in writing.
  • They can show process, not just screenshots.
  • They are clear about who touches chat, content, and analytics.
  • They say no when the account is not ready.

If something goes wrong

  1. Change passwords and enable two-factor authentication.
  2. Save contracts, chat logs, payment records, and screenshots.
  3. Revoke access for tools, shared drives, and social accounts.
  4. Ask for a written offboarding date and asset handover.
  5. Report payment fraud, account theft, or threats to the platform and payment provider.
  6. Send us a report if the agency should be reviewed.
